Present, Past, and Future

Today was strange for two reasons.

One, it was a cloudy, rainy, and 70 degrees. Strange for a day in July.

It reminded me of last business season. Dark and not a thousand degrees. Also, because I was working hard, like during business season.

Two, while I was reminded of the past, the day transformed into a vision of the future. When I wasn’t working on current client, we were planning for the next busy season. We were thinking about interim work and going back to Kansas in November/December. I’ll be doing Commerce things again before going to Kansas, just like during busy season.

side note: how about that crazy Trayvon Martin ruling? I’m almost at a loss for words. It was wrong.

Human kindness has never weakened the stamina or softened the fiber of a free people. A nation does not have to be cruel to be tough. -Franklin D. Roosevelt, 32nd US President (1882-1945)
