Harry Potter in Spanish

It’s hard to read.

When I started reading the first Harry Potter book last Tuesday I was only reading 20 pages an hour. As I’ve gotten deeper into the book, the author has used bigger and bigger words, which is dragging down my reading time. It doesn’t help that the book is using proper Spanish.

I’m about half way through the book now. I might be able to finish it tomorrow, but I’ll have to dedicate my day to it.

Positive news. My brain switches between English and Spanish quicker now. My spelling should have improved but I have no way to check. I’ll think of something. I wanted to finish the Harry Potter books by Christmas. I don’t know if I’ll be able to with all the TV I’m watching.

That doesn’t mean I won’t try.

  1. Its never easy reading in another language. Even though I grew up learning Malay in school, I still find it hard to read a text fast.
