I saw a good movie today.
It was The Kings of Summer. I remembered it from its summer release, but it was only at the Angelica. I don’t really like going there. So I picked it up at redbox. It was fun and touching. Great performances from Ron from Parks and Rec, the main character kid, and the strange kid. I’ll have to look into those guys. Keep an eye on them too.
Anyway, I’ll have to think about it for a while. I need to figure out what it was trying to tell me.
Man, what a long day. I woke up at 6:30am and got to work by 8am. I’m really enjoying the trafficless drive. Thanks holidays. It was the last 5.5 hour Friday of the year. It’s pure overtime from now on. As the last short Friday, I got to leave at 1:30pm. Those last two hours felt so long. I don’t know how I made it.
I should be sleepy. It’s late and I didn’t take a nap. Instead I’m thinking about how I got here. It’s a dangerous rabbit hole. It usually doesn’t have a happy ending. Makes me want to do something rash.
There comes a time in a man’s life when to get where he has to — if there are no doors or windows — he walks through a wall. -Bernard Malamud, novelist and short-story writer (1914-1986)
