I wanted to wake up early today and get to work early, but the motivation wasn’t there.
It didn’t help that I stayed up kinda late last night and was only set to get around 4 and half hours of sleep. So instead of waking up early, I slept until 8am, for a grand total of about 7 hours of sleep. I don’t think those extra hours helped much anyway because my head felt cloudy anyway.
It was hard to concentrate. I felt pulled in too many directions, even more than usual. Also, there were the obligatory talks on the holiday break and talks about where we left off last year.
I should have known better than to expect a lot from the first day back at work. My new aim is to get on top of things by the end of the week.
oh, I am excited about the early morning jog tomorrow. It will be the first of its kind. I’m hoping to get out there around day-break. It might be a little weird because I like to jog around the local elementary school and I think when I’m finishing the jog, that will be around the time the kids are starting school. Hopefully I don’t freak them out in my dark jogging clothes. I’m excited to see how the early morning jogging work days shake out.
It’ll work. It has too.
