The Value of Quitting

We went down to the border around the Fourth of July weekend.

By we, I mean my father and I. My mother and sisters had gone down about a week before, so we were going down to meet them.

We drove down to Mexico around 11pm and got to the border around 6am. We crossed the border and got in line for the car permit. There were so many people that we had to kind of cut the line to the permit building parking lot. We took some side streets and made a couple of U-turns and actually ended up in a place where we could bribe the gate keeper to go inside the permit building parking lot.

We bribed the gate keeper got inside the parking lot. That’s when we saw the line, where you physically stand, to get the permit. It was huge.

So we decided to go back to Dallas. We got back home around 5pm.

It was a great decision.

From a recent backlog of posts. Don’t rely on the references to time.
